My partner and I have decided to build one of three games, and we thought you could help us decide and provide feedback. This is the beginning of a process we will keep public as we develop the entire game.
The below images are intended to represent the style of the game overall, when we choose a project we will further develop the artwork and update you here.

Mass Project (working title)




In this game you would play as a ball of morphable material. The main character can change sizes by absorbing enemies. He can also be reduced in size by being attacked, or intentionally by splitting in to two seperate balls of material (this is required to solve some puzzles.) The player would have to be careful as becoming too small can be hazardous to their health. His main attacks are to 'eject' pieces of himself at high velocities, and to crush enemies by swinging in to them. While the game would play something like a platformer, it will involve many physics-based puzzles that are solved by using the character's unique ability to become larger/smaller and to eject pieces of himself. A typical puzzle could include a passage way that is too small to enter without splitting in to pieces.
The objective of the game is simply to reach the end of the level alive.

Zix (working title)




Inspired by the game of chess, a game with stats, magic powers, class abilities with tactical elements. Fans of games such as mage knights, heroclix, final fantasy tactics, or Magic:the gathering will really enjoy this game. The basic units are modeled after real chess pieces, and move in a similar fashion. Though they have special abilities, such as the Rooks ability to charge and push enemy units back a square, or the bishops ability to shape terrain and create obstacles. Like FF:tactics, these units also have health/mana pools for casting their abilities, and can be enchanted with cards to do more dmg, take more, and other unique abilities. The cards available to you during a match will be determined by the player before the round starts.

Macro




Our goal is to make a fun and interesting game with an addictive mechanic. Using his unique abilities to create 'macros' of himself, the main character must navigate through various levels in order to progress through story driven challenges. It is a 3d game, viewed from a 2.5D side scrolling perspective. We acknowledge that the concept art is drawn in a 3d top-down perspective, but this has changed to favor side-scrolling, as we have determined it lends itself to these types of puzzles better. The overall art style will remain the same otherwise. A typical puzzle could include creating "macros" of yourself in order to open doors, defeat enemies, or to just lend a boost to your future self, which would be impossible if attempted alone.
The objective of the game is to complete a goal/task defined as the end point in each level.
